Version 8.0 of VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK has been released.

What's new in this version of VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK:
  • Created the open architecture for image color management which allows to:
    • Use the color management when decoding image files.
    • Use the color management when displaying and printing images.
    • Perform the color transformation of images.
    • Obtain the color transformations from ICC-profiles v.2.0-4.3.
    • Use a number of standard color transformations and define custom color transformations.
  • Created WebForms controls for viewing images and PDF documents in ASP.NET applications.
  • Created the open architecture that allows to store history about changes (undo/redo) in any object. SDK has built-in set of classes for storing history about changes in images and annotations.
  • Created the open architecture for management of image codecs with abilities to:
    • Create custom image codec.
    • Manage the list of available codecs.
  • Created new image processing commands:
    • HasCertainColorCommand - determines whether the specified color is presented in the image.
    • FillRectangleCommand - fills rectangles on image with specified color.
    • ColorTransformCommand - applies the specified color transformation to the image.
  • Significantly increased the decoding performance of JPEG image regions.
  • Significantly increased the decoding performance of TIFF images with ZIP compression.

  • Demo applications:
    • Created new demo - Web Imaging Demo, which demonstrates how to view images in web application. Public version of demo is available here: http://demos.vintasoft.com/WebImagingDemo
    • Demo applications were extended with new color management settings dialog which provides the ability to load input and output ICC profiles as well as manage additional features: RenderingIntent, Black Point Compensation.
    • Created new visual tool MultiRectangularSelectionTool which allows to create and edit the selection composed of rectangles.
    • The tool illustrates the simplicity of implementation the complex interactive visual tool using the open architecture of interactive communication with the user.
    • Improved the Ocr Demo, added the ability to change segmentation regions by the use of MultiRectangularSelectionTool.

  • Implemented the MRC (Mixed Raster Content) compression algorithm for encoding color document images to PDF format:
    • 4 layers (background, image, mask, front) with ability to switch off any layer.
    • The ability to configure compression settings for each layer.
    • The ability to detect pictures on document image automatically or specify picture regions manually.
    • Plenty of various settings to configure the compression for a particular task allow to reach the best quality/compression ratio.
  • Added the ability to render PDF page progressively with progress indicator and cancellation opportunity.
  • Added the ability to render JPEG2000 images in PDF page progressively.
  • Added the ability to draw large images on PDF page progressively.
  • Added the support for ICCBased color space.
  • Improved the color rendering for CMYK, CalRGB, CalGray, Lab color spaces.
  • Added the support for rendering TensorProductPatchMesh, CoonsPatchMesh patterns.
  • Added the support for rendering annotations of 'Widget' type (Interactive Forms).
  • Expanded the text search opportunities:
    • Added the ability to search for text using regular expressions.
    • Added the ability to implement user-defined text search algorithm.
    Increased the speed of rendering PDF documents:
    • Increased the speed of work with images containing SoftMask transparency.
    • Significantly increased the speed of rendering PDF pages containing CMYK JPEG images.
  • Optimized the memory usage when working with large images.

  • Created new demo applications:
    • PDF MRC Compression Demo - demonstrates how to encode color document images to PDF format using PDF MRC compression.

What's new in this version of VintaSoft Document Cleanup .NET Plug-in:
  • Created new image processing and document cleanup commands:
    • ImageSegmentationCommand - implements search for regions with pictures in color document images.
    • AdvancedReplaceColorCommand - substitutes the image colors defined by color spheres with the ability of linear interpolation of color.
    • ColorNoiseClearCommand - cleans up noise and artifacts of specified colors in 24-bit image.

Version 8.0.1.1 of VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK has been released.

What's new in this version of VintaSoft Imaging .NET SDK:
  • New image processing command - GetBorderRectCommand, allows to get rectangle which defines border around the image.
  • New image processing command - IsImageColorfulCommand, allows to determine whether an image is colorful.
  • Extended the functionality of image processing command BorderRemovalCommand (now command can detect border color for each image side separately, also the command can remove border from specified image side(s) only).
  • Some minor fixes.

What's new in this version of VintaSoft PDF .NET Plug-in:
  • Improved the performance of rendering PDF pages.
  • Improved the quality of rendering Axial/Radial patterns.
  • Improved work with corrupted PDF documents: improved the algorithm for restoring PDF documents, improved the parsing of corrupted PDF documents, improved the rendering of PDF page with corrupted data.
  • Some minor fixes.
