HI All

I am evaluating the sdk for .net.

My requirement is to detect and control any devices such as scanner/cameras/webcams etc either WIA or twain

Questions:

1. Can the vinta sdk be used for WIA devices?
2. Are all devices likely to be twain or WIA, or is the a technology i'm missing?

I have tried the vinta simple demo vb.net program, which doesn't detect any devices, despite the fact I have a HP HD4310 webcam installed. I also have a Canon MG5250 printer/scanner that again the vinta demo program does not detect
I downloaded the twain dll as it was not on my windows 8.1 system.
